Work Done = Force x Displacement
3 frogs were sitting on a cliff. One of them decided to jump from one side to the other. How many were still on the cliff? If your answer is 2, you’re WRONG! Why? Because that one frog just decided to jump on the other side, but didn’t actually jump. Confused? Good. Read on.
I don’t want to sound preachy, so I’ll just get to the point. Most often, I’ve heard folks tell me, “Vivek, I’ve DECIDED to start my fitness journey. I’m going to start tomorrow.” Then I meet them a few days later and ask them if they’re doing good. Most often, it’s “Oh, I didn’t really start, I had other commitments”.
The analogy is the same. Some is not any other day. It’s either today or never. The more you procrastinate, the more your schedule keeps getting postponed. And one fine day, you look back in time and wished you started a month/a month/a year/a decade/ ago.
I learned this way back when I was majoring in Physics, Work Done = Force x Displacement. So, if there is no displacement, there is no work done.
I write from my heart.
I'd write even if no one was reading.
