Quest Protein Bar Review
Well, you all know I am always on the lookout for good quality protein bars and foods that fill up you not only hunger-wise but also on a nutritional level. It turns out I bumped into a website that referred me to ‘Quest Protein Bars’ and they were offering free samples. Who doesn’t want free samples, right? I ordered two of those. This was sometime around Jan of 2011, at that point in time, Quest Protein bars were made out of sucralose and I was not very educated on how bad the artificial sweeteners are. You can read about artificial sweeteners in detail **here**. After that I did not order any box from them. I started making my own home-made protein bars using stevia.
I messaged the company and asked them if they had any plans to launch an all-natural line of products, without sucralose. They replied back stating they have plans, but it may take a while. So, the good news is the all-natural line has finally released. And this is made with Stevia and Lo-Han-Guo, both are natural sweet herbs and all-natural. Also, this bar is perfect when you’re on a fat-shredder plan from P90X. Why? Because on a low-carb plan (which is not recommended over 4 weeks, btw) chances are you have to supplement yourself with enough fiber to keep things moving, if you know what I mean. LOL! This bar makes for a perfect snack at ~200 calories and gets you 15 grams of Fiber! That, to me, is a WIN! And you get 20 grams of Protein from Whey and Milk Protein Isolate; thankfully, they have not used Soy Protein Isolate.
Overall, at ~$2 per bar, these are great, especially for the fat-shredder plan. Hopefully you won’t have to spend extra money on getting Fiber supplements separately, if you choose you carb servings wisely. Even on the fat-shredder, you will be able to get 35 grams of Fiber each day with these bars.
Taste-wise, these are just about ok. Some folks love it; some folks say it tastes like cardboard. I feel Quest has done a good job with the taste, considering this is not candy, but a protein bar. I have tried the Coconut Cashew from the All-Natural line and I like it.
Highly recommended! You can go to their website http://questproteinbar.com or just buy off of Amazon. Amazon has some sellers with free shipping so use that to your advantage.
Overall Taste: 4/5
Value for Money: 4/5
Nutritional Value: 4/5

I'd write even if no one was reading.
