Airlift – Movie Review
Airlift is a BRILLIANT movie. I don’t care what nationality you are, you need to watch it just to see what the Indian Government did in 1990 to fly out hundreds of thousands of Indians in Kuwait during the 1990 Iraq invasion in Kuwait and still kept quiet about it all these years. Yes, 26 years they kept quiet (and never went into marketing how awesome they are) about it although there were almost 500 (yes five freakin’ hundred) regular flights flying in and out of a war zone risking their lives to get them home safe. In a split second regular people, rich people becoming refugees in a country they lived in for years.
I can’t talk about execution but such movies should be nominated for the Oscars so they get worldwide recognition for the “intent”.
Cinematic liberty of course to make it entertaining as well but all said and done, the amount of passengers and no. of flights are in the Guinness Book of World Records – that says it all.
Definitely a must watch. Whoever you are, wherever you are.
I write from my heart.
I'd write even if no one was reading.
